I know that in my previous post I said I will comment more on the the mass shooting in Virgina Tech but my brain is kinda dead now. It has been a boring day at work. Not much emails. It seems like almost everyone are still having hangover from the worldwide retrenchment to Lenovo on Friday. My supervisor claimed he had diahrrea but somehow I felt he went off to see 'doctor'. Probably look for job or something like that.
Going through a retrenchment is well a scaring thing. A job does not only provide financial security. The reason I like my present job is not only its rather good paying but also the people here and work culture. Getting retrenched would mean no financial security. No more $$ to pay for installment. Getting retrenched would mean stepping out of the comfort zone and try something new. With the retrenchment disease lurking in the air, people will experience symptom of short tempered, fear, lethargic and lack of concentration. Some victims will either display symptom of leaving workplace early or work very late. The latter is often in the denial stage of coming to terms with the disease. The disease hit full swing when everyone is not in the mood to work and even those immune to the disease will start to lose concentration and may show similar symptoms.
