Macau & HK : Yum Cha

Probably last holiday till school starts Aug. Nice to see Macau. Good to be back in HK and seeing my relatives.

Macau
Lots of casinos which lighten up the island when night falls. Some nice tradtional Portugese buildings in the main island. Ruins of St Paul was another highlight. Not a grand structure but you can feel the vibrant when you see even the 1st step leading up to Ruins of St Paul. It was a pleasant trip into Macau museum. It serves as a quick peep into the diversified heritage Macau has to offer; bit similar to Malacca though. Then it was to Monte Forte. I suppose it has to be my favourite site cos of the guns there. Gunner!! Later that evening, we went to Zhu Hai. The immgration into Zhu Hai, China was crowded and not the safest of places to be in. Things there were rather cheap though.
"How much is this belt?"
"$80"
"$30?"
"How about $50?"
"OK, $40?"
"Hmm....Ok."

HK
We embarked into HK the next day. Maraget brought us around HK island, covering Causeway Bay, Central and Lan Kwai Fong. The next day we went for a 1/2 day city tour. Har! The resturant for breakfast was the same one the tour brought me to 3 years back. Same sites: Peak, Repulse Bay, herbal shop and jewllery shop. Later that evening, we went to Nu Ren Street. Bought an adidas shoe for my brother, S$54. Haha...Some other stuffs for my family members. Went to tried the famous steak and the food is not too bad and the service is good. The next day, Shi and I went to visit my relatives. It was nice to see them. My nephew is 3 already ha. And he is cute and smart haha... My uncle brought us to have some dim sum and bought roasted pigeon. Nice haha...My nephew kept asking me to yum cha haha...Later that evening, my cousin brought us to Avenue of Star and Mong Kok. Real nice to see them and they really played a good host. The next day was back to Singapore and after breakfast and brief shopping it was back to Macau to catch the flight back. We dropped by to grab lunch and the famous Portugese eggs tarts and almost couldnt get a cab to the airport. Luckily, all went well.

Tried some nice food in both Macau and Hk and it was good to see my relatives are doing fine in HK. Only regret is that didnt get to visit the outlying islands like Lantau Island.
